expected products

hi can anyone help me
i have managed to set up a complete shop on zencart and all is fab, but when i go to the products expected page to add products etc there are no controls i think i have tried everything and searched the forum with no luck. Thanks

Not sure what you mean Michelle...

Products are usually ADDED in your admin console. (Some people - the clever ones - add them via phpMyAdmin) When you ADD them, you specify the date available, and - using other settings in admin - can switch on / switch off the "Products Expected Date" feature.

Please explain where you are having problems. Is it in your admin console, or somewhere else?

i go to admin then catalog then scroll down to products expected when this admin page loads there are no controls to add products or dates. I have set this function to show in shop etc, I know how to do that its just i dont seem to be able to add anything on the input page. It just says displaying 0 to 0 (0 of products expected) and thats it. I thought there should be an add product or new product button. sorry to sound stupid but i have searched and there is no way to add anything maybe i have some code missing i am using the latest zencart. Maybe i should try the phpMyAdmin but i am not clever at this code stuff.

To ADD products...

ADMIN >>> CATALOGUE >>> CATEGORIES/PRODUCTS

If you have no categories yet, click [NEW CATEGORY] and create one. Call it TEST-CATEGORY.

Now, when that category is created ADD a product...

Click on the YELLOW FOLDER icon, next to TEST-CATEGORY...

Click [NEW PRODUCT]

Enter details for a test product...

(Can I suggest you buy the book - it's all in there)
