    Default Help

I have been trying to install easy populate. I am a newbie and do not have much knowledge about zc. I did read the directions but they are unclear. What does it mean to change the admin name to suit zencart installation. Also where is my store directory and how can i identify it....i just need to know where the files go...please help! thanks

customer issue Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4

    Hello,

I know this question has been asked many times but I could not find a suitable answer in the threads. I have attached my page which I have imported into the database. It is a M$ excel edited tab delimited file. I uploaded using filezilla into the temp folder and inserted the file into the database using easy populate in the admin. It says the file uploaded successfully. The problem is nothing shows up under categories or anywhere else for that matter. If there is a problem with the page I uploaded please point it out for me.

    Thanks in advance!

    ORDER of Headings incorrect.
    SHOULD BE
    i.e.
    Code:
    v_products_model v_products_image v_products_name_1 v_products_description_1 v_products_url_1 v_specials_price v_specials_date_avail v_specials_expires_date v_products_price v_products_weight v_date_avail v_date_added v_products_quantity v_manufacturers_name v_categories_name_1 v_categories_name_2 v_categories_name_3 v_categories_name_4 v_categories_name_5 v_categories_name_6 v_categories_name_7 v_tax_class_title v_status EOREOR
Word EOREOR should be entered under that heading for EVERY PRODUCT.
TIP..use OpenOffice for Easy Populate not MSExcel..

Some people change the name of the admin folder as a security measure. If you have not changed it then the file will still be called admin. The easiest way to set up this program is to use filezilla client which can be downloaded here. You will want to add the temp directory under the directory public html because that is where your store resides.
Then the rest of the files will go into admin etc. You will see the files you need to install on the left side of the filezilla client and the files on your server on the right side. Unzip Ep to your desktop so it will be easy to find. Then look at Ep using filezilla on the left and you should see the corresponding files on your right. Drag and drop the files onto your server and you should have an easy install.

you should have an easy install.
If you don't use correct headings, that will not happen.

So basically I need to use the template that comes with EP and populate it using OOffice. Can fields that I don't use be left blank? Also what about the word EOREOR at the end? Anything I need to do with that?

    1. install EP, then download file showing your own products etc.
Use Open Office to process that file to tab delimited...
    2. yes
    3. As my earlier post, every product must have word EOREOR
at end of each line, under column EOREOR.

If you download your own file as per instructions in EP zip
and my comment 1, all will be revealed.
