How do EZ-Pages work?

TheWarden when you log in your admin go to tools, scroll down to EZ pages click that. At the top of the page put in the Page Title that will be what shows for your link in the side box. Next you have to decide where you want it to show in the Header:, Side box:, Footer:, Chapter TOC: Make sure you put in your sort order greater than 0. Fill in your HTML Content: and at the bottom you can add an Internal Link or a External Link if you like. Hope this helps.

Thanx, and that would have helped, cuz what I wasn't doing, was setting my sort order greater than 0.

Now I have one last question (hopefully) on this topic, how do I change the title of the sidebox from "important links" to whatever I wish?

I forgot to tell you when you make changes to the file make sure you upload it to includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/your_custom_file/ez_pages_definitions.php

My EZ page is up and ready to go...just one problem every time i add content to it and then push update it sends me to my store front without updating the page...

any ideas?

There's not really an easy way to add it to individual EZ-Pages, but you could copy the code that calls in this listing box in tpl_index_default.php to tpl_page_default and if required add some filters to restrict the display to certain pages.

Thanks again for the tip. I have tried multiple versions of putting the New Products listing box into the tpl_page_default with no success. I've used progressively larger chunks of code, but nothing is showing up on the EZ pages.

Do you have any further suggestions for enabling this functionality? To refresh, I'm trying to add the standard New Products listing to the bottom of my EZ pages.
