Apple Zen Support Thread

I am thrilled beyond belief!
Everything worked except getting rid of SITE MAP! I totally removed:

from my tpl_drop_menu.php file and also in my admin, site map status is set to 3.....it's so annoying!

The site map link is no longer in the drop down menu, that is what removing the code above accomplishes. Now, did you notice that you are LINKING TO the sitemap on your home page.... the "GALLERY" link is pointing to the sitemap page:

Ok...you are on to something I'm sure, but in my ignorance of knowing how to edit Zencart, I'm not sure what I need to do. Hopefully I can explain this to you....

The 'GALLERY' link on the ZENCART page was originally the 'CATEGORIES' link and all I did was change the name from categories to gallery. The site map appears every time you click on the GALLERY link as well as when you enter into Zencart from my html page.

So...how do I then remove the link to the site map page? If you will also notice...I turned off SPECIALS and NEW PRODUCTS so they don't appear in my drop down box, but they are showing up on the site map.

Ok, I changed the link from my Html page to Zencart. I didn't realize the "sitemap" connection. When I built the html page I just went and copied the url from the top of the page and pasted it in to the html page...so the big question remains, how do I get rid of the site map page to the GALLERY link (other wise know as the categories link)?

Hi, I am really new on this , i just install the theme cherry but i dont know the propiet distribution of the columns and single columns, can you send the configuration of the columns show it in your sample, please, thankyou

Open up includes/templates/apple_zen/common/tpl_drop_menu.php and remove the link there.

It worked! I remember trying to remove that link before, but I think I took out too many words or symbols last time because when I would save it, my page was entirely messed up! But it worked this time!

I installed this template same as the instruction, Now I see it in the Zen cart admin panel, So I set it as my default template. If I go on my Domain name I still see the classic template. So I created a simple template on front page and called it index.html I uploaded it to a sub domain "dev" when i go the that subdomain url I see the design i uploaded. So the question is, How come I can't see the apple template on the main domain name?
How would I be able to change it around if I can't see what it looks like?

Am I doing something wrong or Do I have to reconfiger something in the Cpanel. I've been reading the forums on the hosting company and they keep refering to index.html and that its the only name that you can sav your site as.

Please help!!!

Wow, you lost me at this point:

So I created a simple template on front page and called it index.html I uploaded it to a sub domain "dev" when i go the that subdomain url I see the design i uploaded.

You need to upload the template, keep it called "apple_zen" at this point (it will be easier that way, otherwise you have a LOT of folders to rename), then choose the apple zen template in the admin. The template has nothing to do with index.html, that's your home page OUTSIDE of zen cart. Zen cart has nothing do to with index.html. What is your zen cart url?

Hey Jettrue! I didn't observe this until just now, but not my category links are all under 'HOME' on my drop down menu. The links used to be under 'GALLERY' (formally my categories link)...what could have happened?
