Easy embed template

So I have just finally uploaded to the downloads section. And it has a pretty new read me file w/ how to form urbanix.
other then that there are no changes.

Well I tried to get this to work have read all the post ,looked over eveything and it still does not work. my site is shoppingbasics.com,html page is shop.html you can follow the nav bar link but it doesn't embed zencart located in root folder named shop set the path in cfg. file to /shop.html and put the code in the body of html page but no luck download is from the download section. also installed template in admin. any Idea's what's wrong ?

your first problem is that you are not linking to your Zen Cart.

So the first thing you need to do is link to you actual Zen Cart. Located at http://shoppingbasics.com/shop/.

2 is the problem that every one seems to have is to go the the embed_config.php and put the correct path to the shop.html in to it. What I would suggest that you do is move it to the folder that you zen cart is in and in the embed_config.php change the line that starts with $zc_temp = to:

$zc_temp = DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'shop.html'; 

that should sort you out.

I just got finished merging the sang_embed files w/ the files w/ the 1.3.8a release of Zen Cart.
I also split the embed_config.php into to files. embed_config.php and embed_magic.php . What this will do is separate the configure file from the processing of the template. Hopefully this will make things less confusing for people.
I also added some examples for the zc_temp var.
I attached this here and if people like it I will add this as the file in the upgrades section.
Note this is not well tested, so if you are new still use the one in the down loads section

I'm going to try the "meshed version"! I am new which is why I'm grabbing it with such enthusiasm instead of the other copy!

I have tried to do this a few times and have either failed or am too blonde to grasp the concept, I just know the outcome should be a good thing!

So just wanted to say thank you for taking the extra steps!

what would be the reason to put the html page inside zen folder when your tryig to embed zen into your html site. then all you would need to do is link to zen index.php .Maybe I'm missing the point to this mod and I'm sure my zen cart is linked and I tried what you said all I got was nothing. I guess I'm not a Geek by no means but I have done a lot of learning in a year. I'm sure you have put a lot of hard work and time,we give many thank''s to you and all the other people that give to this program. I'll keep trying

you have this mod back wards
this is not a program that will mask the address of your web site. it will have all the same addresses as any other Zen Cart. but what it will do is make embedding you zen cart inside of your design easier, so that you have less zen cart tpl files to mess with. if you want shop.html to be the file name that one sees when the goto your zen cart then this is the wrong mod for you.
If you want to have an easier time making your zen cart section of your site look like the rest of it then this is the right mod for you.

yes ,I understand that when you go to shoppingbasics.com/shop.html then from there it will be zencart,and thats what i want to make It easier to blend zencart Into original site however I must be missing something because I have tried what you said and it still is not working brain dead for tonight back at It tommorow morning ,Thank's
