Lavender Template Support Thread

Hi Kobra,

Tks for a fantastic template, I am a real newbie but I managed to install it correctly!!
One problem I have is I replaced the header Logo.gif
but the width seems too long when viewed in 800x600 resolution and too short when viewed at 1024X768. What is the width of the Logo needed and is there a way to make it appear 100% when viewed at any resolution? I have trawled the forum but can't seem to find any answer to this

To add on, I can't find this folderKuroi was talking about...
"And in addition to Kobra's advice above, you will need to change your includes/languages/english/lavender/header.php file to reflect your logo's new dimensions."

The lavender folder is not there but the classic is.

thank you Kobra, I know how to do the ftp upload but it just was not going into the correct folder, I see know it should be open to the admin page.

Your so called logo is 828 px wide and is static so at either res it does not fit into a template that is fluid,

You can see if you like the template as a fixed width by altering the width in the stylesheet.css for the template to 828px

Not what I meant if you are now opening the admin folder...

It should be the root of your shop - where you can see the folders - includes - images - pub - cache - and the admin folder

Hi Kobra

Thx for the speedy reply. I can redo the logo. What size or format must I have it in to ensure that it can be used for this fluid template.
I also can't seem to find this folder that Kuroi mentioned "includes/languages/english/lavender/header.php file " ???

Usually a logo is a small 100-300 px wide image like one that would be on a business card etc. and either left or center aligned on the web.

The remainder can be applied as a background image via css to the #logoWrapper tag. This can be a narrow 5-30px wide tile that repeats horizontally in your case I would rethink this and create a logo that represents your company and determine how else you want to use the auto and flag images

Thank you cobra for your help. I did get this template to install, however I cannot get my logo to show up in the top header to replace the words "lavender template" I created my logo and saved in both my custom folder and in the images folder for lavender. It shows up right next to yours in the image folder. I have uploaded it and can see it in the images folder.

I added the css style changes to my stylesheet:

#logoWrapper{
width:760px;
height: 110px;
background-image:url(.../images/mylogo);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
}

but still I cannot change the heading.

please let me know what else I need to do.

Ok, read the entire thread and then tried to change my header folder. I uploaded and now my entire site is a blank page. I tried to go back and undo but nothing. Help!!! I know I should be able to restore the default page but how, and still trying to get my logo to work.

my site is not live yet, I have been doing everything from the admin pages and just viewing my shopping cart from the view on line link, can someone please help me???

I switched back to the classic file, deleted the lavender file and redownloaded and updated the lavender template again but when I switch to use the lavender template I still get a completely blank screen.

I love this template how can I get it back
