Hey there, Rod.
Above problem is fixed. Now when the package goes over 3kg's it just says it cant obtain a quote for shipping.
Shouldnt this then switch to parcel? and charge accordingly.
Cheers mate

Yes it should. However, it'll only do so if the parcel post options are enabled and the parcel dimensions are within specified limits (not too large, not too small)
If you are sure these are correct, please send me a link to your store (and the item you are testing with) and I'll see if I can look into it further.

i'm still having trouble with this...![]()
Hi Rod, I am putting out a feeler on this AusPOST mod. The site is www.scubadoctor.com.au. I do a few days a week helping look after this site.
We currently do not do things by weight and have been burnt on several occasions with postage. Our site contains so many different size and weight items, it is a mine feild for postage. Most are shipped by pre paid parcel/express 500gm/3kg bags, some by padded envelope's , other by hand wrap (weight) the rest are cubed. Would you mind having a look and give us some advise. We currently ship using Aust post (I dont know what module) showing set prices. At present 1/8th of shipment is interntional.
Thanks in advance
EDM
Hardly a surprise, since most postage is based on weight.
Which is exactly why I developed the AP module.. to take the guesswork out of this minefield.
The best/only advice I can give is to ensure you have the latest version of the AP module, then ensure you enter accurate weights and dimensions of all items.
If you do this, the AP module will pretty much ensure you'll never under quote, and only on rare occasions will it overquote.
Cheers

Thanks for responce Rod,
As for now they have decided its to much work (over a thousand products, and not all in stock) would be a huge job. We will monitor our postage and see if it is worth all the work.
If it is of any help, there is no need to put weights or dimensions of items not in stock 'cos you can't mail those ones anyway <grin>
As for the other items, unless the items are large but light (ie, likely to be subject to the cubing rules) then simply entering valid weights should keep the quotes *mostly* accurate.
There is also at least one zencart module available that makes updating the item data very quick and easy by allowing multiple items to be edited on a single screen, rather than one item at a time, so that'll save a lot of time too.
Cheers

Hi Rod
Is there a way to turn off "x days estimated delivery time"?
Because I order my products from America as they are ordered through my site, I often get people expecting delivery in 1-2 days when in fact the Aust Post module only comes in to play once I have received goods and post them in Australia.
Great module
Thanks
Graham
