Google checkout display problem with shipping estimator

Hi, I've got the google cart module installed, and I've noticed a problem.

on the shopping cart page, no html is generated after the google checkout button - so my footer etc is missing.
this doesn't happen on any other pages, just ones with google checkout buttons on them.

Any thoughts on how to mend this?

I haven't found out why this was happening, but i've managed to 'cure' it by turning off the shipping estimator:

Configuration > Shipping/packaging > Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart = 0

Hopefully that may be useful to someone in the future - can anyone hazard a guess at what may have been going wrong?

I have not observed this issue on the shops where I've installed the GC mod and this is the very first such report of such issue I have observed.

Which version of the GC module is this in reference to and on which version of Zen Cart?
