Can someone help me please? I'm having problems with the GB Feed Configuration I am getting this error message

    1062 Duplicate entry 'GOOGLE_FROOGLE_USERNAME' for key 2
    in:

How do I fix this? I am at a total loss, should I restore my site and start over or is there a simple fix for this?

Try following the instructions posted here: http://www.numinix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=985#985

These instructions can be followed for almost any module with the table name and column differing depending on the module.

help question Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread

    Ok...i did get that error
    Code:
    1062 Duplicate entry 'GOOGLE_FROOGLE_USERNAME' for key 2
while upgrading from the older froogle to google base feeder on 1.3.8a....using mysql 5. Deleted the rows with "google" in the config id table, and the sql statement ran ok when cut and pasted.

Problem: The feed looks weird. Just a list in an excell file. I used to get a txt file and could open it in excell and edit it to conform to google base product by product in the required columns. The feed is not appearing in rows in the excell table. I also have multiple copies of Google Base under my admin > configuration.

    1. How can I get a txt feed?
    2. How can I get one copy in the admin? - saw this somewhere in the forum will keep checking.....
    3. How do I uninstall and re install the whole shabang if needed?

    1. How can I get a txt feed?
    Download the Quick Updates
Module. It has a Google txt feed so all you have to do is upload it to google.
    2. How can I get one copy in the admin? - saw this somewhere in the forum will keep checking...
Go to your phpMyAdmin data base, go down to the configuration_group click on that. Check the configuration_group_title hit the little icon browse go through the list of configuration_group_titles and remove the extra copy.
    3. How do I uninstall and re install the whole shabang if needed?
Do the same above go to your phpMyAdmin data base, click on the configuration click on the configuration_title, click browse icon and go through the tables that deal with GOOGLE_FROOGLE and delete each one of them. Go to configuration_group click on that. Check the configuration_group_title hit the little icon browse go through the list of configuration_group_titles and remove Google Base Feeder Configuration, your done. Be Aware if you don't know what you are doing you could mess your data base up. Backup, Backup, Backup before you attemp this......

help question Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread

    Thanks for this mod...but

I went into the database and deleted the google records and re-installed the version found on the contributor's site. Really helps to take your time and install as instructed the first time. It is possible something got corrupted, but this reinstall went very smoothly and produced a feed.

    Everything seems fine EXCEPT:

STILL CAN'T PRODUCE A FILE THAT LOOKS LIKE MY OLD FEED WITH COLUMNS AND ROWS. I can't tell if all my items are there except for the number which is about 100 items less than my current feed at Google Base.

OH...SORRY WE MUST HAVE BEEN POSTING AT THE SAME TIME...WILL READ ABOVE....

help question Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread

Thank you for the quick reply. I did do those things in a sort of "winging it" spirit....I must have been around the zencart block a few times, I guess after all....

Rather than install a new mod I'd like to make sure I'm getting the right results from this one. Is the xml file supposed to just be a column of code and not in rows and columns? If so, how does one verify the feed is accurate?

    The current status:

I’m running 1.3.8a ZenCart with the following plugins (add-ons)
Easy Populate - Image Handler2 - Fast and Easy Checkout - Live Chat (Customer Service)
I have downloaded, and installed, Google Base feeder (Numinex) version 1.6.16, I have copied and pasted the sql file after manually deleting google base and google froogle files from the database. I can now create both product and downloadable feed files.

    The Problem:

I can’t get the files to upload from the Google Base Feeder but I can manually upload the generated files by browsing from Googles “Manual Upload” link. The files are accepted and 631 out of 662 products are accepted by Google. This is no problem.
I, obviously would like to be able to upload from my Admin panel. When I attempt to upload the files from Admin, I get: no response from server, per this:Network Error
    1. Unable to read URL from host www.shopsbyron.com: no response from server

I’m not sure whether the problem is at my end or my settings in Google. I note that the Google setting has me for “Manual upload”, which works when I do it from their end. I have attempted to confirm that this is the proper setting when not running Magic SEO (automatic), but it would appear it’s o.k.

I have searched both Numinex and the ZenCart sites but can’t locate a similar posted issue and reply. Hope I’m not duplicating an issue!

Any suggestions would be more than greatly apprciated. Hope it’s not something that is directly attributable to my advanced years!!

    Thanks! Ron

I just installed 1.7 on Zen 1.3.8a. Origonally I tried upgrading from 1.6.7 but had a few issues so I decided to remove 1.6.7 and install fresh. After running the uninstall.sql for 1.6.7 , overwriting all the files with new 1.7 files and setting up my Google Base account info again I get an error when trying to generate a product feed.
Basically the last line in the pop up windows states....

Processing: Feed - No, Upload - No

I have uploaded the new files 3 times now, and have tried rerunning the .sql script as many and Im stumped.
One other thing I am noticing is that the first line of the feed generation pop up windows is this:
    Google Base Feeder v.1.6.16 07.03.2008 23:40:59 started 2008/10/06 00:55:40
    Shouldnt that say v.1.7 ??

I have this on a local test server in my office as well and the feed generation works but the upload does not. Same info though on the line above-- Google Base Feeder v.1.6.16

Any suggestion in what may be causing this? Im not as concerned about versioning info as long as the feed generation works.

    TIA
    This may help you.
    1. BACK UP YOUR DATABASE
    2. Go into PHPMYADMIN browse the 'configuration' table
    3. Sort by 'configuration_key'
    4. Delete all rows that contain configuration_keys that begin with GOOGLE_BASE or GOOGLE_FROOGLE
    5. Run the install for the latest version Google Base Feeder v1.7.0

That seems to be what my problem was. After clearing out the DB as noted and re running the .sql install all is good.
    Thanks countrycharm!!!!!
