unable to access admin with new host

I installed a fresh version of zen 1.3.8 on my new host, and all went well. Once I uploaded my existing files, I could no longer access admin. Instead of giving me the login fields, it redirects to the frontend zen index page. I've been working with my host on the config filepaths, and all seems to be well ( I copied all my files except the 2 config files over).

Is there anything that would be in my other files that would affect the filepath to admin?

My host moved my zencart install from a sub-folder to the root and suggested I start with fresh config files. I have my current 1.3.8 site in a new_store folder on my old host (1.3.7 is the live version). I copied the config files from my 1.3.8 new_store, and edited them for the new host & temporary url. I'm still getting the same problem.

Please help!
