The 403 error means that your server is preventing access to a call to a bare directory on your server. This suggests that the zen function is receiving information that it is unable to tie back to an EZ-Page in your database.

It will be difficult to provide further help without a link to the page with the malfunctioning link, and one to the page that you are trying to link to.

    Thanks for answer.
Here is the link to the page where the link is on:
    http://www.ladywig.com/index.php?mai...d=15&chapter=2
Please note that there is a discrepancy between the online database and the local one, previous posts were based on the local one; don't be misled, there were no typos.
The link is structured like so now and it works:
    <a href="index.php?main_page=page&id=16&chapter=2">
I wasn't able to make it work the way you suggest, but I would like to experiment with it, because it would give more power to manipulate links.

That's not surprise since this is an EZ-Page and you can't use PHP functions (or other types of PHP on an EZ-Page. The function is used to point to EZ-Pages from other parts of your Zen Cart where PHP can be used.

    Thanks for answer.
That is one of the explanations that I explored.
I also tried to link from a define page and got same error (look back in the thread).
Will post a link later, though that would mean defiling an online define page.

If you edited the define page content directly, it should work. However, if you tried to edit the link in via the HTML define pages editor then it will most likely have been weeded out as it isn't intended as a PHP editor.

I am not using any HTML editor for define pages at all.
I am against them because I know that they input extraneous characters in there.
    I just type text.
However, I will attempt to edit directly, as you suggest, and see what gives.
Will be back to you on this one.
    Thanks.

Having read this many times. I still do not fully understand EZ Pages.

Is there an easy to read HOW TO or even Tutorial to get me up and running please.

Have you read the dedicated EZ-Page section in the FAQ?

The Zen Cart manual explains it very clearly.
