Nope, I spoke too soon It did indeed change the background color of the center column but it also turned the sideboxes that color as well.

Any ideas on how to corretly make this change?

I hate to say it out loud for fear of nixubg the deal but I do believe that I've worked it out: This does make the background color change:

But then to modify individually the sidebox color I made this change:

Potentially far from proper, it still gets me where I need to go today! However, I'm still skeptical... If someone knows of a more efficient and/or more correct way please feel free to post!

Another detail, if I may: The text within my sideboxes is pressed right up to the left edge. (See example) How can I pull it just slightly to the right?

Aslo, could anyone offer any help on centering the image of the product on the product information page, its completley to the left and there is a huge white piece on the right! Love the templete, though!

Take a look at the very top of the page of the original Apple Zen Template, where the Home, Login and Seach apparatus are. Now take a look at the same area in my modified Apple Zen. See how the page elements are not quite tight to the top? Obviously I made some mistake along the way but now have no idea what it might have been. Hi,

My zen cart store link is www.starruby.in/store

Could someone guide me with a couple of issues that I am facing:

First, I am wanting to increase the width of the left-hand side column (which shows the Categories, Currency, etc) to accommodate the three word categories in one line.

I tried changing the Column Width - Left Boxes and Column Width - Left in the Admin > Config > Layout Settings, but it does not work.

What am I doing wrong?


Second, in IE, the site displays an error in the bottom bar saying "Done, but with errors on page". When this message is clicked it shows the following error:

HI!

I've installed this template and changed the colors and a few other things.

I have a few "little" problems now.

• Home at the bottom is not placed corrrectly
• The header bars for New Products, etc need a setting (margin right?) so they stop before the main content area ~ similar to the spacing at the beginning of the bar.
• The line height on the main page (and probably others) won't allow a font size larger than 18 ~ and 18 still seems kind of squeezed together

It's going to be hard to figure it out with the amount of changes made. If I were you, I'd compare the original stylesheet with yours, and return much to its original state, just leaving your color changes the same.

I'm driving myself nuts trying to track this down...!
I would like to change the background color of this white area. (The area where it states: I want to change this white area
to a different color)

Please note that it is not the body {background:#FFA0E0 url(../images/site-bg.gif) 0 9em repeat-x; as I have already made that change.

More issues with IE and the dropmenu.

In firefox the drop menu is perfect.
In IE 6 and 7 the drop menu does not appear at all?!

Any suggestions?

To overwrite your own logo, upload your logo.gif to includes/templates/apple_zen/images/" open up includes/languages/english/apple_zen/header.php. To remove the standard zen cart "Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution.", open up includes/languages/english/index.php (then once you've changed it, SAVE the file in includes/languages/english/apple_zen/ folder, so that it is not over-written when you do a zen cart upgrade). To remove the "Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?", open up your admin, and turn it off under "Configuration", "Layout Settings", and turn off "Customer Greeting - Show on Index Page".
