Hmmmm.. When you get a Click-n-Ship account, can you see the estimated costs for each shipping type ? I didn't want to go on their Live server and forget that I was only in the test phase.

Thanks for the insight. I missed this too late today to setup the Click-n-Ship account, maybe, if I did, Monday will have to work.

    hmm.. not sure I understand.

When you get an account, there is no live/test server. Its not the same thing the webtools account. Its a simple label creation page.
    1. Enter Address (which is done for you with the contrib)
    2. Choose your shipping option (whichever one the customer chose during checkout)
    3. Print it!

The usps test and production servers for webtools are moot anyway since you are only retrieving quotes, and the quotes are the same on both servers. So that is only used when the customer is checking out.

The quotes in click-n-ship are slightly cheaper than the real quotes (because you get a discount for using click-n-ship)

    Thank you for responding..

In the Admin section, I get a Yellow Bar at the top with the following information:

" Shipping Configuration errors! Warning: USPS shipping module is either missing the username, or it is set to TEST rather than PRODUCTION and will not work. If you cannot retrieve USPS Shipping Quotes, contact USPS to activate your Web Tools account on their production server. 1-800-344-7779 or [email protected] "

    Then when I go the Catalog side, go into the Shopping Cart, Step 1 of 3 'Delivey Information', I receive another error;

" We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use. If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance. (Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.) Your account is in TEST MODE. Do not expect to see usable rate quotes until your USPS account is moved to the production server (1-800-344-7779) and you have set the module to production mode in Zen Cart admin. "

So in the Test Mode, Shopping as a Customer making a Purchase, the only thing I can do, is use the 'Store Pickup' rate, to continue on ?? I am unable to select any USPS shipping methods, let alone, any pricing off of their "Test Server" ?

It is starting to sound like, that maybe my problem, is not really your problem, and may be a problem associated with the Core Team ? But what I am not understanding, is, as an example, the gentleman below your response to me, stating that it worked perfectly on his 1st install ?? How is he getting the Click-n-Ship, shipping type info presumably that the Customer chose, if it is not selectable in the checkout procedures of the shopping cart ?? Any ideas ? Comments ? Places I should go ??

If I remember correctly, when you modify anything in the shipping area, you need to either have it turned off in your admin before you go adding files or you need to turn if off now and then turn it back on. I think that might fix it for you. I had that problem, but it's been a while. So, in the admin go to modules->shipping->United States Postal Service. Hit remove and then reinstall. I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall something like this when I was setting stuff up. In any case it's worth a try.

You are referring to the USPS XML quote shipping module. This has nothing to do with that. That is a shipping module that is used when the customer is checking out. This is an admin tool used to take the customer info from your admin order screen and stick it into the click-n-ship webpage.

Ignore the fact they they are both named the same. You will need to ask this question in the General Help area.

Installing my mod doesn't not require any other changes be made to any shipping modules. It's just a glorified form populator..

quick question... where do you place the files and folders? Thanks. I did step 1 & 2 in "Installation & Use" and not sure about step 3

    3. Upload all files to your server. They are already in proper folder structure. Backup or Overwrite your admin/orders.php file with the included one (or read below for custom changes).

O.K.. I am now farther along, than before. I actually logged into the Click-n-Ship website, pressed your button for "USPS Autofill" and it did complain about the forced error in the return email, took away the backslash as you recommended.. but the "Ship To" information was not filled on the 1st or subsequent button triggers ?? Just short of manually doing a copy-n-paste, any ideas ?

    You match the structure.
    On your site you have:
    admin
    includes
    images
    etc

in the zip file the structure is the same:
    admin
    includes
    images
    etc.

So just copy the top level from the zip file into the top level of your site where the matching begins. If you have a subfolder like store/admin
    store/includes
    etc
then you would drop the full structure into your "store" directory

Erm.. try clearing your cache and start over. If it works once, it should work always.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_order_total_weight() in \admin\includes\modules\usps_autofill_button.php on line 169
