Try to monitor the behavior, take note of the pattern

Does it happen to only some specific products (with specific name pattern, or in some specific categories)
Does it happen to product with attributes only?

There must be some pattern to it, we have to get that pattern to fully understand the root of the problem (and fix it)

PS: I have been to your site on both ie6,7 and ff3, havent been able to encounter that error yet.

    Hi,
I have been trying to monitor the behavior but can't see any pattern. Right now, on my laptop, the site works fine in IE7, IE8 & Opera but not on Firefox 3.0.4 & Chrome.

It doesnt happen with one or two products but with all the products in all categories

However, if I disable and re-enable SSU, then it will work fine for some time.

I will keep checking and update you if I notice something specific.

Well yellow, i just noticed that when I enter the product url directly in the address bar, say:

    http://www.gemsoul.com/star-ruby/1-0...ntreated)-p-37

and then add it to cart, it works fine.

However, when from the main page, I click on the product, after the url there is a suffix of zenid (example: ?zenid=727268057a2a96585f5e3316c4e37501). Now with this suffix, when the product is added to cart, it shows the message that shopping cart is empty.

Still works fine for me, these are the steps I took, correct me if I did something wrong:
    1. Clear all sessions related to your site
    2. Visit your hompage (now all links have zenid attached)
    3. Visit a product link
    4. Click add to cart
    5. Get redirected to shopping cart with the product inside

    Also, try this:
Turn off link alias if it is on, then see if that happens again (if it does not, at least we can narrow down the cause of the problem)

I have just tested on Safari and Opera following the above steps, still have not encountered the problem yet.

I hardly believe it can be a random problem, lets find a pattern to it. If there is a way you can reproduce the problem every time, let me know.

Hmm.. I think I now know what is causing the problem.

    Try this:

    1) Clear the sessions related to my store
    2) Visit my homepage with the url: http://gemsoul.com instead of http://www.gemsoul.com
    3) Visit a product link
    4) Add to cart
    5) shopping cart shows empty

So most probably this error occurs when "www" is not prefixed in the url of the site.

    Any way to correct this?

The solution is pretty simple, and should be done anyway (for seo sake)
just redirect all links without www to www. You will find such htaccess commands some where in this thread or on google.

However, I will also investigate this problem to see why it is causing such weird problem.

I've installed this mod. It is the most complicated install of any other mod I have installed. I couldn't get it to work and I have decided that I don't care to get it to work any more.

I have uninstalled all the files. (and double checked) I now have a blank website. My admin is fine.

I need help uninstalling this. I'm done and I am so mad that my site is blank and I can't figure it out.

I've uploaded my backed up site and that didn't help. I'm trying to upload my exported database in the hopes that will help but I'm having problems with with my phpMyAdmin not allowing me to upload a database of the same name.

I appreciate any help I can get.

    Thank you

Shame you had problems , it is quite straightforward and if you run into problems , The mod owner helps out quite a bit too.
I would check the .htaccess file in the root of your website. ( it may be hidden on some ftp programs ) or for testing purposes you could probably remove it.
    Various Zen cart sites !
