    Ok,

    Several auction items just ended.

Bidders are not receiving any kind of winning email notifications. Shouldn't they be?

Just not exactly sure what the exact closing auction process is suppose to include.

    Also....

I guess in order to have ended items not show with others that are still up for auction, we have to manually delete them?

Just looking for a little help in regards to how the mod is suppose to ideally work when auction ends.

    Thank you

If you have CRON set to 1 but dont have a CRON job to end auctions, the scenario you describe would happen. To fix it, (set CRON to 0) OR (set it to 1 AND create the CRON job)

When it is set to 0 the auction end detector is run every time anyone visits your ecommerce site. So if no one visits for a while the auction termination is not detected.

There are also LOTS of reports of problems sending emails out. I dont have that problem so it is hard for me to troubleshoot.

On your other question, I need to look but I think you are correct. That items that have closed STILL appear in the list of items and require manual intervention..

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the response AHB..

It shows that it is set to 0 already...

    Hmmm......

Maybe I will have to learn how to create the CRON and set to 1 ?

I think it is better to debug this with CRON=0. You might be suffering from the email problem.

ANDYII and I both use SENDMAIL and it seems to work for us. What do you have the zencart email system configured as?

I have everything set to a yahoo email address.

When you say debug with the Cron set at 0, you mean to use the debugging program that is here on ZC?

What part of the Cron would I run the debug on?

Oh... and what is "Send Mail"

Thanks again for the responses. Greatly appreciated !

sendmail is another transport method for mail, choices are php, sendmail , smtp, smtpauth, and qmail.
its default to php, go to configuation> email options, right on top is the setting E-Mail Transport Method, click it and tic the php option, then the update button.
Try that and see if you experience the same troubles

Hmmm..... I already do have the php selected.

Anything else I might take a look at in the mail config?
