Add a new Sidebox?

If you have that many....there about 8 places where the new box names must be changed/added...changing only the file names does not get it done as you have noticed...

Developers tool kit is invaluable for this

I used the editable sidebox mod like this. In my case, I needed several customizable sideboxes.

So I did a renaming game in all the files.

Read me file says:

Adding Several New Editable Sideboxes

If you adding more than one new sidebox, you will need to do some renaming to avoid clashes. Simply replace all instances of editable_sidebox and editable_sidebox_content in the files and the filenames with your preferred name.

And it works great!

That's what I'm trying to do! I replaced only the 'editable' (I leave the rest of the name in tact) with my own name.. like 'video'...

but that's when the boxes don't show up... how did you rename the files in order to get it to work?

In other words, you just add your name in the 'string' of each file?

Thanks... this time I changed the file names INSIDE the files aswell... first the 'editable' mod didn't work but worked after I've changed the 'Blank' files... weird but both are working now!

I added a new 'editable' sidebox and did all the file name changes aswell as in the .php files. I have one box on the left and one on the right but both are the same ad...

I checked all files and both these boxes have diferent names but the same ad shows up on both sides...

So the file in extra_definitions would have to be changed to (for my case) blank_sidebox_defines_coming_soon? Want to create three boxes for coming soon, events and samples
