help question Re: SitemapXML v.2

It never displayed error free webmaster tool crawl results , always showing an error on the productssitemap.xml sitemap file. It appeared to not index my product pages whatsoever.

As my product pages where not being included in the crawl, I decided to restart the whole store and I therefore installed Zencart and the sitemaps addon. (3 times in the last 5 days to try and get a clean crawl result).
But it still shows as there being an error in the sitemapproducts.xml file. In fact now it is reporting a 404 not found error with this latest addon.

I just dont seem to be able to get the sitemapproducts.xml results as I do with the sitemapcategories.xml and sitemapindex.xml. The sitemapproducts.xml has my products in it and they show when requested and update ok, but google doesnt accept them into its index or crawl these pages.

I have succeeded in level 2 integration with other systems such a Google Checkout, Adsense, Analytics and many more complicated addon installs, but this one has never been clean, even with a new Zencart install and immediate install of sitemaps, with nothing else changed, it "breaks" the tier of the sitemap tree.
Any ideas on how I can analize this error and get it resolved would be greatly appreciated. I have followed the installation procedures to the letter and covered all the areas here in the posts to ensure I have not missed something important.

Thankyou.
When I had installed this addon onto the new Zencart 138 install, I had generated categories only - when I submitted the sitemap to google webmaster tools sitemaps. So, when I created the sitemap in Admin-->Tools, it created all four sitemaps(index,categories,ez-pages and products), but only wrote to two of them - Index and Categories. I then submitted the sitemap to GWT's and it errored on the products sitemap, saying there was an error 404 not found.

I have checked there is content in the products sitemap and that it has accurate product information, which it does.

So my question is;
As I submitted the sitemapindex.xml (and therefore the sitemapproducts.xml files), when there were no products inside the zc db, does this likely cause an error in GWT's - as there is no content from the sitemapproducts.xml file for it to find, or does it work like ez-pages/reviews generated sitemaps, remaining irrelevant until entries are made?

Thanks for anyones ideas on this one - I am sure it must work, but i think i need to submit sitmapindex etc AFTER I have added categories and products and reviews, is that right?

Store name
EasiDIY.com
www.easidiy.com/sitemapindex.xml - ok
www.easidiy.com/sitemapcategories.xml - ok
www.easidiy.com/sitemapproducts.xml - error - not being indexed by google.

Could someone provide a thorough installation and config guide to this addon. More specifically for a Cpanel host user.

Installation of the files seems to be straightforward enough, but actually getting GWT(Google Webmasters Tools) to read an error free set of sitemaps does not happen, after repeated attempts.

If I have a new install of Zencart v1.3.8 with only sitemapsXML v.2 installed, and I instantly add categories and products (with no other add ons installed), it creates the xml fileset, that is all working, except for the sitemapproducts.xml.
GWT throws a 404 not found error on sitemapproducts.xml.

Any advice/support/tips with this problem would be appreciated.
Could it be a permissions problem?

I have just done another install and I am about to connect the root directory to the db.

Then i intended to add a couple of categories/products and attempt another install of this addon. I have currently deleted the sitemap from Google Webmaster Tools(GWT) and will resubmit when the xml files have been recreated(with entries and at root level).

I just cannot see why the GWT system doesnt want to read the products xml file only, when it likes the others.

Yes, that should do fine.
I only wanted to know if something in the .htaccess was preventing the crawler to access that file.

Allow: /
Sitemap: http://www.your_site.com/sitemapindex.xml

All of a sudden I gets CURL errors in the cron report.
These are the errors:
<h4>Ping Yahoo!</h4>
http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExpl...temapindex.xml
<div style="background-color: #FFFFCC); border: 1px solid #000000; padding: 5px">
cURL Error: Error http_code "<b>403</b>" reading "http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExpl...temapindex.xml"<br />
</div>

and

<h4>Ping </h4>
<div style="background-color: #FFFFCC); border: 1px solid #000000; padding: 5px">
cURL Error: "<b><url> malformed</b>" reading ""<br />
</div>
<div>Total Execution Time 0:5.2134</div>
</div>
</div>
</body></html>

The other sites did not report problems, only Yahoo.
Anybody have an idea of what is going on?

And here is a snapshot of the error.
Could it be, as someone suggested, that this is a Yahoo thing?
