Default Re: Reward Points Module- Live Release now available.

    Hi,
first of all - superb module
    Second of all - i have a situation.. :)

I don't want my customers to be able to pay all the total price using the reward points. I need to be able to set the maximum percent of total price that would be covered by reward points. E.g. my customer has 20 rp = $20, the total price is $50, but I want the customer to be able to pay only 20% of the price by using rp, i.e. he would be able only to use 10rp ($10) (10 out of 50 = 20%) and will have to pay $40 in real money :)

    Any ideas on quick solution?
    Thanks!

The version that is currently on test (v1.26) allows you to set discount percentages instead of straight cash value. So if you set the highest break point to 20% it should do what you are looking for.

Thanks very much for the module. We've been testing it and love it!

I am wondering if there is an easy way to reset EVERYONE to zero and then give them all 200 earned points?

    Thanks!

Apologies - I quickly figured this out removing the points in phpMyAdmin but I can't seem to give everyone the 200 in the same manner because only those who have earned points previously seem to be in the reward_customer_points table.

Another question about rounding maybe? We have our earn ratio set to to 3.0. I would assume then, that if someone spent $100, they would get 300 points. This actually works - normally. When I put a $100 item in the cart, it gives 300 points.

I have my rounding set to 0.5 (the default)

However, I put an item in the cart that costs $12.50 and then put a quantity of 8 in the cart to make up $100, it only gives 296 points. If I set my rounding to zero, it gives 304 points.

Just some odd behavior I thought you might want to know about.

Well it's because you are not getting $100 worth of points- you are getting 8 times the number of points for a single item. You can switch on the Calculate Points by Subtotal or Total config and that will be a bit more truer.

    Hi, Andrew

    Thanks for your nice add-on!

I have installed the 1.26 version on my test site and now I have got 2 problem as below:
1.For all my products are free shipping and I noticed that reward points would not displayed on the product info page before I add the block of code into tpl_product_free_shipping_info_display.php by myself.
2.I changed the orders id for the default auto increment to a random generated system combining the date plus a 4 digits number as 0907133658! So, when a customer place 2 orders in a day, the later order id might be smaller than the previous one! When I changed the order status and the custom would earned the points but what he earned was wrong. The previous order would earn the later order's points! It looks weird!

Would you pls give me some suggestions on dealing this situation?

    Thanks a lot,

    Hi, Andrew

    Sorry to trouble you again!

I have modified my order.php file and orders table back to use the original order id system! Now, another problem is inside the configurations area I have set 'Reward Point Mode' to 1 and 'Allow Redeem of Reward Points on Order Total or Subtotal' to 0, but the reward points are still calculated against 'Order Total'!
    Sub-Total:$309.12
    Value of Redeemed Reward Points:-$15.00
    Total:$294.12
    Reward Points earned:294

And, if I set 'Allow Redeem of Reward Points on Order Total or Subtotal' to '1', the Reward Points would minus another 15, would be 279!

Any idea or suggestion would be highly appreciated!

The quickest way would be to DELETE all records in the reward_customer_points table and do an INSERT...WHERE IN customer_table...
