for referrals, if it could be like this :

customer A places an order, only after the order status changed to "processing", it randomly generats the numbers as customer A's referral code.

then customer A tells this code to customer B, B places an order and enters that referral code on checkout_payment page, then B gets reward points pendding, only after order status changed to "processing", B gets rp earned, then A could also get some rp earned.
