Hi guy i installed SSU but i keep getting this error and ssu dont even show on my configuration menu...it does on the extra menu thou. help please..

1146 Table 'drkwrld_zc1.zen_module_version_tracker' doesn't exist

Huhm, what do you mean? Are your listing missing title and description? Or you do not want the listing to have that?

In any case, the title and desc are from your pages title and meta tags and have nothing to do with ssu. Once google indexes the pages for a while it will eventually fill in those info.

well. google still not have my site listed...wierd...

this is something really frustrated. i am going to remove SSU until i can handle it....

Please help asap. I installed according to instructions, but the cart now says illegal access everywhere but the admin. I removed the htaccess and the mod is turned off. I also followed instructions I found posted from quite a while ago on removing the files from auto_loaders and init_includes.

It definitely had to do with a file being overwritten in the zen cart. The host restored the files to last night and the store is working again.

You are welcome to use a module that has not been updated for 2 years if you want to. Almost all the cases where people cant get this module to work is because they dont follow the step-by-step installation instruction carefully.
And the installation link does work for me, it's a dedicated host which has 100% up time.

Great mod BTW,

I tried another SEO URI mod and didn't like the way it handled the multi language links when the site was spidered. I have a site in English and Spanish and spider simulators as well as site map builders would only show the links in the default language.

Obviously, what I wanted was an english language and a spanish version of each link, which is what I have got with SSU, so many thanks.

The only thing I am struggling with is the transliteration. At the moment the english language links work perfectly. The spanish language links are showing the correct text but all of the accented characters such as: ("ñ", "á", "é", "í", "ó", "ú") are being replaced with a "-" hyphen instead of the unaccented english"n", "a", "e", "i", "o", "u").

Now, I think I have everything set up correctly because if I tell the "es.php" file in the ssu/pligins/languages folder to transliterate an english "n" for a "w" (just as a test) then everything works fine, it puts "w" in place of "n" perfectly. It just seems to not recognise the spanish characters which show up in the zencart admin backend correctly where they are used in the product and category names.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated as this is a great mod which I really want to get working with my spanish characters. I am sure it is something simple which I am missing.

Have you enabled spanish in includes/classes/ssu/local.config.php?

It should look something like this:

$ssuLocalConfig = array(
        'plugins'        =>    array(
                                    'parsers'    =>    array('manufacturers')
                                ),
        
        'languages'        =>    array(    'es'    =>    'es'
                                    )
    ) 

And after you enabled that, clear your SSU cache via admin and see if it helps. If not let me know

I used to have the same problem as planatgenet reset alias cache and reset all cache solve the problem but I had another problem that if I enable "Set default language identifier" it rewrite over and over and firefox stop the connection and my url look like this www.mydomain.com/fr/fr/fr/my-cat/my-product

I try your solution with local.config.php doesn't work at all, so I've modified the code of config.php in the language array
now it's look like this

        'languages'             =>      array(  'default'       =>      'default',
                                                                'en'            =>      'default',
                                                                                'fr'            =>              'fr') 

and it's works fine, the only problem is for the home link, the default language of my zen is in french and when I click on english, the same page became in english for now everything normal but if I click on "Home" it go back to the french welcome page and not to the english one.
I think it's just something to modify but what that is the question...
Here my configuration
Zen:1.3.8a
SSU:Beta 3.6.7


And here my replace characters with a lot of characters for lazy people like me
