Custom template displaying incorrectly?

I have just installed a fresh copy of Zencart and I created a custom template. I followed the instructions at https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=142
It has lost the Classic Contemporary Green and looks like this:

Is this correct or did I mess something up?

Looking ok so far...your new template is named custom

No, you copied the css files from template_default rather than Classic - that's why it doesn't look like the original Classic template. Either will work as a starting point, but if you want it the way it was, copy the files from classic/css to custom/css.

Thanks stevesh, that was the answer that I was looking for. Actually, after comparing template_default and Classic, I'll go with the template_default as it seems more customizable. Thanks.
