I'm still having the same issue. I went back into the admin section and re-confirmed the settings of Ceon. I also went back in and re-confirmed the category URI as well as all of the product URI's in the category (to make sure the old files didn't write to the DB incorrectly). Still no dice.

At this point I'm wondering if it's a software issue on the server. Here is what I have, let me know what else you need:

    Zen Version: 1.3.8a
    Server OS: Linux 2.6.28.9
    PHP Version: 5.2.9 (Zend: 2.2.0)
    Database: MySQL 5.1.30
    HTTP Server: Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8i DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635
    PHP Safe Mode: Off
    register_globals On
    Curl: 7.12.1
    Python: 2.4.3
    Perl: 5.8.8

Thanks for your help. I can't be the only one having this problem.
I took it one step further and I installed a fresh version of Zen Cart on a new test domain. I then installed Ceon. I'm still getting the same problem. The new domain is sharing the same database as the last one.

    http://www.atmparts.us

Here is one of the pages the error is on:
    http://www.atmparts.us/atm-parts/dispenser-cdu/sdd

In addition to the server config info I listed in my last post, when I installed Zen Cart it did mention that PHP is running on CGI or something like that. Could that be the source of the problem?

I'd really love to use this contribution. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The PHP settings shouldn't matter for the module. Your server settings are fine.

Unfortunately you are. I really can't say why without debugging this by hand. Sorry I don't have better news for you than that!

Since I installed it on a fresh version of Zen Cart, I'm at a loss of what to do at this point. What would you charge to correct it?

I'm hoping I use use Ceon URI mapping to solve a problem I have. I need to be able to move a sub cat to a new sub cat, but I don't want the URL name to change when I do so. (I need existing links to the sub-cat to continue to be valid, even though the sub-cat has been moved under a new category.)

Will this add-on solve that issue for me?

Yes, but you have do things in a specific way. You will be changing the URI of the category but the URI Mapping module can let you redirect any links which are still linking to the "old" address to the new address, telling any search engines to update their records and use the new URI instead.

This will require you to manually add records to the URI Mapping database table by entering the old URI to be mapped from and the database ID of the new category (using software like PHPMyAdmin).

If you are remapping links to products from within this subcategory as well then you'll have to add a record to the database table for each of those as well.

The module comes with instructions on how to add records manually.

I can give you an example to start off with if you send me the specific details - e.g. the current URI of the subcategory that you want to map and where you want to put it.

Please don't send those details via the forum as they won't be of any interest to anyone else here, contact me directly via this link.

    All the best...

I've downloaded and installed, but I've done something wrong, or else incompletely. I can get to the Ceon URI Mapping (SEO) Config screen under modules. I didn't change anything there - just used the defaults. But when I go to Catalog > Categories/Products, edit a category, I don't see any fields at the bottom of the screen for the mapping.

Hi Conor, ive found out htaccess cant be used on my server. So this may sound like a stupid question but how do i set up a Virtualhost directive.

I have now created a web.config file in my access_db folder and put in the following code

    RewriteEngine On

    # Don't rewrite any URIs ending with a file extension (ending with .[xxxx])
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\.[a-zA-Z]{2,4}$
    # Don't rewrite admin directory
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/admin.* [NC]
    # Don't rewrite editors directory
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/editors.* [NC]
    # Don't rewrite cPanel directories
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/cpanel.* [NC]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/frontend.* [NC]
    # Handle all other URIs using Zen Cart (index.php)
    RewriteRule (.*) /index.php?%{QUERY_STRING} [L]

Do I need to put anything else, or tell my site to listen to this web.config file. I know nothing about Virtual Host Directives and any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
    James

I'm afraid I don't know what a web.config file is. You'll have to ask your hosts to sort this out for you! If they can't or won't then you'll have to move to a better host.

Sorry I don't have better news for you than that!
