Contest System [support thread]

Hello, I only see the program under the reports heading in the admin... here is the code i'm getting when i open it from there:

1146 Table 'csvogner_zencart.contest' doesn't exist
in:
[SELECT contest_code, COUNT(contest_code) AS num_entries from contest group by contest_code ASC]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Can anyone help?

Sound like you did not run the sql install file.

You need open the file in your browser, so go to your_domain.com/admin(or whatever your admin is called)/install-sql-contest-v1.?.php. Once it's done you just need to click the back button to get back to the admin panel and you will see the 2 menus, 1 in configuration and one in reports.

If you rerun the script it will tell you that it has already been done.

Does anyone have a copy of the 1.6.1 that includes the changes from 1.6.0 since the one in the download section doesn't contain the changes.

I've loaded up the program but it's telling me that the link is broken in as the browser message....

Hi Skip I have a question for you. I have read the thread, and I know you said the rules are not displayed until I have a contest going. My question for you is how can I display the rules for anyone that come to my site to look at before the enter. I hope that makes since.

If you have the contest active and a person wants to read the rules before they enter the contest they can. The link is in the upper right of the contest page 'Click for Contest Rules'.

Thank you for your help. I understand what you are saying. If a customer is log in they are able to see the rules in the upper right of the contest page, but what I want to do if possible is have it outside that page it that make sense. Thanks again, love this add on by the way.

It was easier to create a override define page then to explain how to do it.

The attached zip will give you a page for just the contest rules. There is a readme file in the zip.
