    Default SSL Certificate Problem

I have read the following article:
    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=14

But can't work out if I apply the SSL certificate to:
    'mydomain.com' - result: https://mydomain.com/
    or with the 'www.' i.e:
    'www.mydomain.com' - result: https://www.mydomain.com/

    Thanks

That will depend on 2 items... what is listed in your configure files for your http and https either with or without the www... but ALL the same

    and....

Whether your SSL was issued with or without the www. Or maybe it is a higher end SSL and has a wildcard for both.

My SSL hasn't been issued yet. I'm about to set it up via cpanel myself but before I do I need to know... do I use 'www.domainname.com' or just 'domainname.com'?

    Thanks

It's your call. If the certificate is issued to http://www.sitename, then you can have your configure.php files point to that, and if it's issued to http://sitename, they can point there.

I'm not aware of any advantage to either method - I have mine issued to http://www.

Please check the site command in Google to see how your site is indexed before you go changing what you have

site:domain.com into the search box and click search. Look to see what Google has for most pages... www or non
