    red flag Add customer telephone to confirmation email

    I have looked. I found some old posts related to this but no replies with an answer.

    I have a customer who is a doctor who sells his own nutritional supplements and wants to be able to phone his customers when they order.

    He wants the customer telephone number included in the orders because his wife just faxes them to him at his office where he does not have internet or access to his cart directly.

    If the name and address can be included I can't see how it could be hard to also include their phone number ( or any other info for that matter )

    But I am not a programmer so I have no clue how to do it.

    I just want to add customer phone number in order confirmation emails.

    Please don't assume I know where or which files are involved...I don't know that either !

    Anyone?

    If you mean on the order confirmation email, the telephone number is at the bottom, in the 'Office Use Only" section.

    Ok....now I need to change my ID and go hide my face....I did not notice that.

    That said though.

    Is there a way to duplicate or move that up above where the customer name and address are so the customer can find it easier? I can't blame him for not recognizing it there when I myself did not.

    It is now less of an emergency as I will inform the good Doctor.

    I'm also having trouble imagining a medical office without Internet access.

    Here's the thing. The doctor is a very nice Cuban man in his 70's and though smart, not computer literate. His wife is an accountant and has the internet etc. but is in a different office.

    He is not treating patients and only markets his formulas for a living. No patient records etc. to be concerned with so no real need for internet.

    She gets the orders via email then faxes them to him to follow up on.

    That's the way it is so I have to work around the situation.
