Default Changes wanted to the Customer approval process

My website has a public area (about me, retailers, gallery etc) then a wholesale e-store which is meant to only be accessed by authorised customers.

I want to be able to set the following to 1, as I don't want the e-store to be accessed by anyone I have not approved. Currently anyone who completes the form can login and browse, which I do not want.

Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending
Customer must be Authorized to shop
    0= Not required
1= Must be Authorized to Browse
2= May browse but no prices unless Authorized
3= Customer May Browse and May see Prices but Must be Authorized to Buy

HOWEVER, if I change the setting to 1= Must be Authorized to Browse, then the only page that is viewable is the login/application page, and anyone coming across the site can't view the public information.

Is there a solution to this?

Alternatively, can I scrap the application form an enter my customer details manually myself? It does need to be a very strict application/approval process.

The version I'm using seem to be 1.3.8a
    URL is http://www.tikiboo.com.au/

    Thanks,

    Kathryn

    That link doesn't work.

You can remove the sign up portion of the create account page and just have the login boxes by editing that page's template file, then create user accounts yourself.

I think the hosting server was down for a few minutes, it seems to be working fine now..?

How would I create them myself, I can't see anything that would allow me to do that?

Link still isn't working here, but it doesn't matter. I just wanted to see if your whole site was built in Zencart.

    I have used this mod:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=454

    Seems to work OK.

It depends on how many customers you're likely to get, but in a similar situation, I just uploaded the template file that contained all the sign up fields when I needed to add a customer, then uploaded the one without the fields when I was done.
