Don't undertstand your concern.. You need to install the Google XML Sitemaps plugin for WordPress.. Otherwise you'll have no other way to generate a sitemap for your blog. The short answer to your original question is no.. You can't use this Zen cart module as is to generate a sitemap for both your store and your blog. You could always have the code customized for that purpose, but it's likely you will need to seek out commercial options for this kind of customization..

    Hello,

I would really link to use this module with the Multisite module.
Does someone already use the 2 modules together.
I don't know how to setup the robots.txt and generate the sitemaps into different location. Can you point me into the right direction? thanks,

Well, I've got a question about this mod. I've used it for a few years now, and never had any problems but I've got one now as follows:

Installed: one site using 1.3.8a with SSL
Results: working perfectly after install with NO changes made.

Installed: another site using 1.3.9b NO SSL
    Results: Error loading gss.css

    Same host for both.

Changed all permissions to 777 on the second one.......still no luck.
Does the problem lie within the SSL, or the ZC version?

    red flag Re: SitemapXML v.2

    Hi all,

Is there a way that the sitemap generated by this module would be www instead of just http :// The only reason I ask this because search engines only index your urls http:// or with http://www, so its kind of duplication kind of thing.

    Example of this is

    http://mysite.com/sitemapindex.xml (thats how it generates)

I'm wondering if it could generate like

    http://www.mysite.com/sitemapindex.xml

    Thanks

Hmmm......I've tried the "hacks" that's been posted for this, and it DOES seem to work for the sitemapindex.xml, but once there, it DOESN'T work for the rest of the sitemaps. I'm still getting the same error on those.
All conditions are still the same as above (hosts, SSL, etc.).
    Anybody have any more ideas?

All worked out, now. After I made the "hacks", and moved gss.xls, I had forgot to reset the permissions on it.
