Stocks by attributes

What version did you install? I updated the mod and it's the latest version and fixes that. You can get it in my signature line.

I am using "Stock_by_Attributes_ideashop_files". You do not have a signature line.

Where would one put the code clip from post #968 if that is the fix?

Hello, I am trying to find what the latest version of Stock by Attributes is?

I see many different postings on the forum here and I am trying to find a version that works with Zen Cart v1.3.9f Will the one above that you made a link to work? If so do I need to uninstall the other version I have? The version I have isnt working as before due that some files were significantly upgraded. (now folks can add products that are out of stock to my shopping cart) I have the version found here:

It is v1.4.10 with Ajax

Not to take anything away from creinold.. His work on SBA has been awesome, but there have been in recent months a few folks who have been actively working on keeping this mod updated with the latest versions of Zen Cart.. Don't want to take anything away from their efforts or give the impression that NO ONE has updated this module in a long while..

That said, I hope creinold's anticipated upcoming version is going to include the frequently requested functionality of dynamic attributes -- the current module which provides functionality (Dynamic Attributes) is NOT fully functional (no offense to the Dynamic Attributes author), and it would be awesome to see this fully functional and a core part of SBA (versus in a separate module).

I think I need the dynamic drop downs working here and Divavocals may have hit on a point. Is it possible to show all drop downs in the first option and then when one is selected to show all the drop downs possible for that option but to have the in stock / out of stock showing as appropriate. At the moment it hides out of stock stuff, but I want to allow back orders , but at least tell the customer there may be a short wait as it is out of stock.

Can this be tweaked to work in this way?

Is it possible?? Sure.. Is it available yet?? Not currently.. Ultimately all modules are volunteer powered.. So while I appreciate creinold's work, if his final version of SBA does not include dynamic attributes, the work he's done on this module is still awesome. For that matter so is all --well most-- of the work all the contributors have provided to this mod..

Fortunately for the majority of my clients, this (dynamic attributes) has been more of a "nice to have" than MUST have feature.. If SBA continues to not include dynamic attributes, and a client NEEDS it, I will simply hire a developer to create it for me (as I have done in the past for other client based "must haves")
