    Default Manufacturer Images

    1. I originally had a big image logo for one of my mfrs (248 x 90 / 3.72kb) then I switched it for a smaller image logo of 80 x 30 and 1.07kb. When I did that, the image no longer displayed, why would that happen?

Then I checked my file permissions and the new image had 777 so I switched it to 644, still no display.

Then I re-uploaded the bigger logo image, switched the permissions back to 644 and it displayed again. Why does that happen? Does an image need to be a minimum size to display?

    2. Why does changing the file permissions affect whether or not the image displays?

    I do have IH2 installed.
    Thank you,

Did you clear the image handler cache,
did you add the image on the manufacturers page, or did you just upload the image via ftp to overwrite the existing one? if so were the images the same type as in both gifs, or both jpegs.

When you look at your webstats 404s section what does it say regarding that image

    I uploaded via admin>config>mfrs.
    same file types

after some more testing, turns out, it was just the file permissions that were the problem. Deleted the small image, uploaded again, changed permissions and now it displays!
    Thank you,
