    Default e-Catalog Generator?

Hi, I'm trying to find a e-catalog generator for my customers. How would I do this? Is there an add on or an open source code that anyone knows about?

Basically I want to create a link for my customers to be able to download an e-catalog instantly.

If this isn't possible...how about the downloadable products? Will my customers add them to their carts for an emailed file? Are they able to download from a file within my products?

Any advice on this? I haven't found much about it around the forums.

    Thank you!

    Easier way and very simple.
Create a pdf file of your catalog and upload it to your server. Create a link in your store and point to this pdf file. You can use EZ pages to do this.
Take a look at my page to see it working. www.TranselTech.com/store
Look at the box on the right. Good luck

That's just what I want to achieve.

Are you updating your pdf file with every change? I also want to be able to keep track of the downloads...that's why I have it as a free product download in my store.

    Another question...

Do you know how I would use php to generate a product catalog based on my current store listings?

I've seen this on other websites. There would be a link for ecatalog and it would generate an ecatalog in real time vs leading you to a pdf link. I think I read somewhere that this is a osc mod.

Any idea how we could get this working with Zen Cart? Thank you!

No, I don't have eCatalog but I would find it now since you mention it. Looks like a cool feature and less work. My pdf is created manually

As zencart is opensource, you are free to write any add-on function you like.

Only your skill and expertise stops you, and if this is the case, you can hire a coder to do it for you.

Like many of us who have developed add-ons, once yours is ready, you could consider offering it as a free add-on for the whole zencart community to use...

I wish I could do it myself! That would be great.

In another thread someone figured it out...they were going to post the add on. But I haven't seen it yet.
