    That said I'm inclined to believe that this is less of a Super Orders issue and more of a browser specific issue. In this case Internet Explorer. The mostly likely causes are the compatibility view settings or your security settings or a combination of both.. Found this in a quick Google search it might help get you on the road to correcting this.

    I've confirmed that the frameset HTML generated by the batch invoices is valid HTML so this means that the "super_batch_forms.php" is coded to generate a valid output.. Therefore the only other probable issue is that your settings in IE8 are preventing the visual display of the output.

    Thanks very much for checking so thoroughly and for your advice.
    I think you have confirmed what I suspected. It seemed odd to me that the invoices display correctly in chrome.

    Strange though. I have tried using every setting in IE I can think of including compatibity view and all zones including trusted and all default settings. I have tried IE and Firefox on 3 pcs and I get the same blank page returned by IE and this  in firefox.

    Unfortunately there there doesn't seem to be any setting in chrome to force a new page for each frame so I need IE to work.

    I have a local test copy of zen & super orders working fine on my pc. It'll take me a day to get it back to where I've got the one on the remote server because I've added a couple of mods in the meantime, but this may be be quicker than spending any more time on solving this.

    Seems like giving up but it's all good practice. Thanks again and super orders is brilliant!

    Hi again Diva,

    I'm back in business! Tried winmerge, 1 file at a time and found the file causing the problem was:

    admin/includes/languages/english.php

    The only line different to the working version according to winmerge was:

    define('TEXT_PRODUCT_WEIGHT_UNIT','kgs');

    I changed lbs to kgs the other day but I can't believe that caused it so I guess there must have been some corruption in the file when I saved it.

    It's working fine with kgs now ok.

    I noticed on another forum someone had a similar problem with the file application_top.

    That's a core Zen Cart file as is the application_top.php file.. Super Orders does not modify these files at all but it does use these files (as does the default orders.php). It's possible that your FTP program corrupted the file on transfer..

    Nevertheless, glad you got it all sorted out..

    Does this add on have the ability to update your customer with order information, for example:

    payment received
    order processing
    order shipped
    order delivered
    order completed

    I have it installed and am beginning to poke around a bit. But I don't see anything on tracking info which for me is probably the most important feature.

    I've searched this thread and haven't found an answer to this though I would think it has to be here.

    On the Batch Status Update page, is there a way to display the shipping name instead of the billing name, under the Customer heading? I package everything up and then check it off, but the names sometimes don't match so I have to do a little more digging to match them up, which slows me down. How would I go about changing this?

    Sooo...you're not able to add tracking to an order? I don't see it as an formal option. I guess I would just create the shipping information and update the customer via email.

    How do I add additional payment methods to the drop down list?

    If you are looking for a way to automate shipping and tracking information, this is not a formal option within the default Zen Cart orders either. Super Orders using the exact same status and orders comments functions as the default orders does.. Most store owners use the comments and order status functions for this. (Update store status, send customer notifications, etc)

    You might take a look through the free add-ons for shipping tracking modules if you are looking for this functionality. I believe there are a number of free add-ons for USPS, UPS, and FedEx. I don't use any of them so I can't give you anymore information than that.

    You can read more about the payment system in the readme file, but it should be noted that orders paid via credit card will have SO payment records entered automatically. As I have posted here in the support thread, that SO auto-payment generation will be extended to include PayPal paid orders in the upcoming release. (currently in development) All other (manual) payments types requires the shopowner to enter an SO payment record manually.

    Let me clarify this just a little bit for anyone else reading..

    Q. Can you add shipping tracking information using Super Orders??
    A. Yes, using the orders status/comments system you can add order comments (including tracking data), update the order status, and send customers notifications when you add comments or update the order status.. This works EXACTLY the same in Super Orders as it does with the default Zen Cart orders functionality..

    Q. Are there modules which allow the automated entry and customer notification of shipping tracking data.
    A. Yes there are some modules which do this. To my knowledge, there isn't a single module which automates tracking for UPS, FedEx, and USPS. However there are a few individual modules for each of these shipping carriers. Please search the download section for these modules. Each has it's own support thread where you can get assistance with installation and support issues.

    Hope this is a little clearer..
