    IT WORKED!!!!

    Let me explain but first I want to say that I believe this problem is exclusive to monster templates that use both bad code AND bad directory/file structure.

    This particular mod was looking to call a file - ezpages_drop_menu.php

    the mod is programmed to look for this path includes/modules/sideboxes/MY TEMPLATE

    HOWEVER the way monster templates work is that they hardly ever section their template into a proper MY TEMPLATE subcategory so naturally I would copy all mod files into just includes/modules/sideboxes

    No other mod was fussy about this except this one.
    So what I did with Ajeh's (GENIUS) help is to just invent a new MY TEMPLATE subdirectory (that no other mod uses...) and place the file there, then everything was fixed as the mod found that file.

    all other mods that tell me to put a file in include.....mytemplate/ if I sense that the my template files are not in a subcategory but in the main category like sideboxes for example i automatically place the mod files there because thats where my template would call them up from, all mods were happy with that, until now... Does this make sense? for clarification post your questions please

    Hi - I have this awesome mod installed on my site and it's sooo cool, but I have one little problem....instead of the headers having a home page button, information, contact, my account and that sort of thing, I'd prefer for the menu to contain the names of my main categories. I can put those other links elsewhere on the site.

    Can anyone tell me how to modify it so that the main headings will display my category names rather than these other things? I know how to change the names themselves as sort of a cosmetic thing, but I need the headings to pull from the main category names, if that makes sense.

    Thank you so much...now I just need to figure out how to remove the contact us, information, my account, etc from the headers. I want to put those down at the bottom of the page. I found one part of the answer, but when I tried to do what it recommended, it kinda screwed it up...hints? :)

    Hello jettrue, my navigation bar has a spacing between my header and I want to have the navigation bar right against the header. My site is http://.capebretonantiques.com/shop I put this code <!--bof-drop down menu display-->
    <?php require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_drop_menu.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'common'). '/tpl_drop_menu.php');?>
    <!--eof-drop down menu display-->
    <div class="clearBoth"></div>
    into my includes/templates/cape breton antiques/common/tpl_header.php folder. I placed this code at the bottom of the page under all other codes in my tpl_header.php. So if you could let me know how to move it up to my header that would be appreciated. Also I was wondering how to change categories to something like about us how would I go about doing that. I have created an EZ page about us page, but I don't want it under my information link. Also I wanted to thank you for this wonderful add on. Thank you Godfather Antiques

    I'll provide a link to a test site of mine with this working for anyone interested, please remember i have'nt started to style this yet but i will update when i have.

    Just checked out the gearsofwargear.com site. The "Products" link at top does just what I'm trying to figure out. Any instruction on how you got the CSS Drop Down Menu to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

    Great add-on! I am trying to figure out how to have the menu dynamically display the product categories horizontally, instead of all under "Categories", vertically.

    The menu would look like this:

    Mustards Sauces Dressings

    Then, the drop-down under Mustards would show "hot mustard", "mild mustard", etc.

    What kind of code would I insert to accomplish this?

    Thanks!

    hockey, 4 posts above yours has a link to another post in this thread showing you how to do exactly that. Gotta learn to read and search these threads for your answers.........Top right......"Search This Thread"..........keywords like "Categories", "replace categories".........etc..........
    Teach them to shop and they will shop today;
    Teach them to Zen and they will OWN a shop tomorrow!

    Thanks for the heads-up, not sure how I missed that.

    One item I neglected to mention in my post above was that I also need the products to be listed under the category titles, as such:

    MUSTARDS (category)
    Hot Mustard (product 1)
    Mild Mustard (product 2)

    I searched this thread, and the only solution I could find was to give every product its own subcategory. I don't think that solution would work well for the site I am building. Any input on how I can modify the code from post #1921 to have it show the products underneath the categories?

    Thanks!
