Is anyone else getting broken page links after following the Ultimate SEO urls installation instructions? I followed them except for:

3. A sample .htaccess file is included. Simply rename to .htaccess and edit the word /shop/ to match your site

Not doing this step as i didn't understand it, would this be the reason the categories links don't work anymore.

If you following Ultimate SEO urls installation instructions and trying to install simple seo url it will not work. Are you trying to install Ultimate SEO urls or Simple Seo URL?

If a URL has a plus sign (+) in a dynamic URL, it creates an indefinitely redirect loop. How can this be fixed?

My 1.3.8 website was hacked and my host installed 1.3.9h as this has more security features.

I got someone to install Simple Seo Url's for me as this is what I previously had installed.

But I am having all sorts of problems .... relating to redirection of files.

Some of the problems I have noticed are .... my robots.txt file is showing a 403 forbidden message.

My sitemap index is marked with an X in Google webmaster tools
and the sitemap product file is showing a 403 forbidden.

If I clear out all the Simple Seo caches in admin/extras I can click on my website and move around my website. As the caches fill up then I find that I cant get into some of the categories on my websites front page as it says the links are broken.

I can clear out the caches and load products up to googlebase but as time progreses the google base products start being marked as disallowed until all products are disallowed.

I think its the coding in the .htaccess file but I dont have any understanding of what the Rewrite lines are actually doing.

I have downloaded and installed Simple SEO along with Module Manager and everything worked great right out of the box. Problem is, I'd like to do some fine tuning except that when I click on Extras/Simple SEO URL Manger I get an IE cannot disply the page message. The ssu.php file is there and the address is correct. I seemed to remember reading about this before I did the installation but I can't find it now. Any Help?

Did this ever get answered? We're getting this with the advanced search (even though 'advanced_search' is in the exclude list).

What happens is a link that looks like this with SSU off...

http://www.partywebsite.co.uk/index....ts_add_product

...looks like this with it on...

http://www.partywebsite.co.uk/?searc...ts_add_product

...which still works, unless the user searches for a multi-word product and the keyword goes into the querystring like this...

1st+birthday

...whereas it should be...

1st%20birthday

Any clues how to fix this? Seems like it should be simple, but I can't work it out.

It's the 'ultimate_seo_urls_2-110'
and I followed the instructions that came with it.

I can imagine this is going to be a nightmere to get working correctly. Is there any safe paid services out there that can do this?

I Installed the Simple SEO URL but after installation when I click on any product or any page it gives me a different link, but the page is not found. How can I fix that problem?
Does anyone know what files I have to edit to change my links and fix the error? I’m using 1.3.9G version. Thanks
