    Default Re: Editable Home Page Centerboxes

    Hello

    I am setting up a website and am using the editable home page centerboxes. I set up the centeboxes just to see them working. However as of yet I have no content to enter into the boxes. So I need to hide them until I have content for them.

    Is there a quick way to hide the menu's from the homepage, like I can do for the likes of new products centerboxes, etc, or must I delete the php files until I need them again.

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Eamon

    You should be able to hide them by adding to the bottom of your stylesheet

    .middleBoxContainer {display: none;}

    This assumes that the class name has not changed since I last saw the files.

    Glenn is absolutely right.. the CSS change will do the trick..

    Also I will be submitting the latest update to this mod soon.. Been swamped and unable to wrap up my testing and bundling of this new version.. The new version has admin options for turning off the middleboxes..

    Thanks for the help.

    I have encountered one more issue since then. I have been using chrome for all my work, and everything is perfect. However when I open the site using IE8 or firefox, the third middle box has dropped down a row below the first two. It corrects itself when I view using the compatibility view in IE8.

    Have ye any idea what this problem could be? You can see the site here http://mauricedoodysales.com/.

    Note: I have only changed the styling of the css, I have not touched the widths. I have tried uploading the original css file again to see if it was any changes I made that was the problem, but the problem still remained.

    Again, any help will be much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Eamon

    If you eliminate the border on .middleBoxContainer and put it on .middleBoxHeading and .middleBoxContent instead, you will get the boxes to line up in Firefox.

    Thanks, that worked. It did leave it with a little gap between the second and third box, so I changed middlebox_3's float to left and it fixed this.

    Thanks again, the help is much appreciated.

    Version 1.1 is available for download:

    Lastly I want to ask a SMALL favor.. When posting bugs/issues it's a WHOLE LOT more helpful to resolve if you post details. Just saying "it's broken" does not provide nearly enough information to help you resolve your issue. Please provide as MUCH information as possible including the version of Zen Cart you are running, the version of the module you are running, any other add-ons you may have also installed, and hosting/server information (PHP versions, mySQL versions, etc)

    Anyway.. carry on.. Enjoy the new version..

    Idea or Suggestion Re: Editable Home Page Centerboxes

    QUESTION: regarding your template showcase webpages for the lovely 3 center column main:

    * http://osc.template-help.com/wt_27414/index.html
    * http://osc.template-help.com/wt_26807/index.html

    ... the "REMOVABLE WATERMARK" text you've incorporated into the photographs is THE BEST watermarking, I've ever seen.

    Am wondering if you used a piece of software for that? If so please share.

    If not, I'd be looking to create something similar ... any advice / tips / details: shade of grey, blending modes used, would be most appreciated and valued.

    Beautiful work!

    Thanking Muchly!
