Display more items in list

I want to have more than 4 items show up when the list of products are displayed. For example right now only 4 of the 49 items show up and then you have to go to the next page. How do I show 10 items on each page?

I assume you mean the number of products listed in the category listing. Configuration > Maximum Values > Products Listing- Number Per Page

If you are talking about the product listing pages
admin > config > maximum values > Products Listing- Number Per Page

If that doesn't change anything, we need to see your site live, as some templates disable basic admin functionality like this.
