Default Installing Wimpy Rave .. help please

Hello, after searching the forum all day I decided to post for help.

I am building a music store (physical CD w/ download option) and would like to install Wimpy Rave to handle audio streaming (mutiple tracks per product) & individual track purchase. A similar decription would be like the Amazon set up here

    amazon.com/Speak-Now-Taylor-Swift/dp/B003WTE886/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1298615804&sr=1-1

I'm just starting so I am using the default template with no mods v1.3.9g.

I can only find bits and pieces of info about Wimpy on the forums but no breakdown of how to install it. Thanks in advance.

I never got the wimpy rave to work. I do a store with downloads too and there are several steps to make it so songs can be downloaded. But, once you get used to it, it's a pretty easy process.

Here is the process as explained by zen:
    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=71

Here's a basic list of what I do. I hope I don't leave anything out.

First off, you need to upload all of your songs to your downloads folder. Put them in zip form. You can put a whole album in one file, so when people purchase the album, they will get all of the songs. Then, do a file for each individual song.

You will need to install the 'stock by attributes' add on.

For previews, I used a program called 'Audacity' to make 30 second versions of each song. This makes it impossible for people to just record the song while previewing it.

Then, I use a player from a website called 'mixpod' to allow people to listen to the previews. Mixpod is very easy to use and embed on your site.

You will set up the songs to sell like other products, then assign the download attribute to the songs. The tutorial explains it well if you ignore the parts that don't apply to what you are doing.

I hope this makes sense. I'll be happy to answer questions the best I can.
