Categories To List Per Row - Only getting 1 column

Hello all,
I've been searching the forum on the Categories To List Per Row topic and have found many but unfortunately none that solve my issue. I would like to list 2 categories per row on my main page and have this set in Categories To List Per Row, however, I'm still only getting one column.

Here is my CSS:

.categoryListBoxContents {
	width: 250px;
	height: 400px;
        position: relative;
	text-decoration:none;
}
.categoryListBoxContents a {
	width: 220px;
	height: 320px;
	padding: 10px;
	background-image:url(../images/picoutline2.gif);
	background-repeat:no-repeat;
        position: absolute;
	text-decoration:none;

}

I currently have 4 categories so I would like them to be in a grid centered on my main page. The background image is basically just a border that I'm using to outline the images. And I've disabled the left and right columns so the center column is the only one that is active. I've found that if I add "float: left;" to my .categoryListBoxContents it will create the grid but then of course it's not centered on my page. Any suggests would be greatly appreciated.

The CSS you are referencing is for the sidebox display and not the center column display

I took this over for a friend and it's been interesting to say the least. I probably should've just started it over from scratch instead of editing what had already been done. They started with a template and then edited the site from that, so that could be why it's using a style sheet tag that should be in the sidebox.

Relaxme, I tried making the changes that were in your other posts in category_row.php but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be doing the trick in this case. :( Is there some other place that this would need to be changed for the categories?

Well, I switched it over to classic and it still looks a mess. Doesn't look like the template overrides were used properly, as you had guessed. So I think I'm going to go with my original thought and just start over. :(Thanks for taking a look though!
