Paypal eChecks and downloadable items question

Hello,

I sell mostly downloadable items in my shop and I am curious about how Zen Cart handles Paypal eCheck payments' approval time. Since it does not allow the customer to download the item until the eCheck has gone through, how does the customer know when to come back to the shop and log in to get their downloads? Is an email sent? Can I set up an email to be sent? As a last resort, can I set zen cart to allow the download as soon as the order is received, before the eCheck goes through?

I would like to know how to get mine set like yours so they don't have the download instantly lol!

Mine is set at delivered, delivered, pending if that helps and as soon as they pay by echeck they get their order. I have had many failed uncleared echecks and they have got their order so that's why I want mine set to download when it's cleared. Just watch out for the bad echeck payers.
