set 2 downloads for 1 product

I have a merchant that has given us 1 product but in two progan verions.

She has a zip for the photoshop users and one for the psp users.

I know how to set the multi-downloads for an item that has more than 1 part but

how do i set this critter up to give the customer the choice of buying either one...but from the same page (without making an entry for psp and and entry for ps as product pages.)

I hope that makes sense.

so this product actually has 3 attributes.

I make an attibute called choose, then the download1 and download2 to give them the choice and that will not let them get both links once they purchase...right?

Yes, but choose option has to be marked via admin attributes screen as default...
TIP...get some rest, get rid of migraine.. start refreshed

don't I know it...I love this store software and even if it is a bit complicated to a beginner it is manageable.

Unfortunately it is the host and server that are bugging me right now...lol

Good lord how many times must one say move our site to a new server this one is sick before they finally ask "would you like us to move you to a new server"

how do I link them so that I only need to edit one place...of course I only have them in one spot now but in the future I would like all my Vicki 4 items to be seen in the same sections as the Aiko 4 ones since they can be used by both.

ok, they finally got me moved and the errors seem to have abated...permanently I hope...lol

Now this is how I did it, please tell me if I did it right and if it will show like the image or if that is wrong:

1. in option name manager: made option for Choose, psp, ps

2. in option value manager created Choose, psp, ps

3. in attributes of the product I chose first the Choose-Choose then hit to make it so, then did the same for each of the choices and added the location of the correct file for each of them, updated the page then checked the store page to get the image below.

Will that give them the way to choose whichever one they want after they confirm their purchase or is it supposed to let them choose before the confirmation...cause this way did not allow the choice prior to confirmation.

Did you try adding a product to your cart to test..

All those 3 options should be in one drop down
box, with CHOOSE set as default.

Yes Misty that is why I was asking...it did not let me choose all the way to checkout which I then voided.

I may have not set the options right, with a step by step I may be able to do it.
