How may I change the delivery time in invoice?

Hi,

How may I set the shipping time info in invoices?

I tried hard but don't see a way to make it happen.

Thank you!

Re: How may I change the delivery time in invoice?

There have been a lot of request for an in-built delivery time function during checkout. I understand there are a couple of 3rd party modules that can do this.

Look here for an example: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=983

Re: How may I change the delivery time in invoice?

Thanks fairestcape, sorry for not stating clearly.

My problem is that there is a delivery time for customer selected shipping method, like this in each emailed Order Confirmation:

Registered Air Parcel (Weight: 0.17 KG.Delivery Time: 6-7 Days): $5.18

I want to change the "Delivery time" here.

Re: How may I change the delivery time in invoice?

Are your delivery times the same? In other words, I think you just want to include that text phrase - "Delivery Time: 6-7 Days" in every email?

You could do this by editing the e-mail template, and I think the one you need to look at is:-

email_template_checkout.html

This is in your email folder in the root of your store (ie: same level as your includes folder).

I have not played around with edits on this file, so I can't advise where/how to insert your text string. After making a backup of your original, try a few options. Re-instate the backup if you foul things up! Then try another approach until you get it right.
