custom template...how to change the colors?

I've been trying to customize my cart to fit my products better and I've managed after several attempts to successfully create a new custom template. How do I change the colros of the template?
I've been browsing he forum and havent found anything i thought would pertain to this.

Most colors can be changed in your stylesheet
(/includes/templates/your_template/css/stylesheet.css). Copy it from /includes/templates/template_default/css/stylesheet.css if you don't have a custom copy yet.
Some things are images which you will have to edit in Photoshop or the like.
