No Margin on left side

I screwed up. I just updated my wife's website to v1.3.8a and was changing the header.php and meta_tags.php files and when I refreshed the page the entire site shifted to the left so that there is no margin anymore and a huge margin on the right side. I swear I only changed the following:

Header.php
define('HEADER_ALT_TEXT', '...');

Meta_tags.php
define('TITLE', '...');
define('CUSTOM_KEYWORDS', '...');

Did I accidently change something else somewhere?

Re: No Margin on left side

Your website lost the left margin on internet explorer but not with Mozilla Firefox. Using Firefox I can see the following characters on the top left side of your site:

This normally happens when php files don't get uploaded correctly. How are you uploading the files to your server? Make sure that you do so on ASCII mode or Binary (Not necessary unless files are encrypted) Mode. Try using a reliable FTP Application such as WS-FTP or Filezilla as opposed to uploading files using maybe the File Manager of your cPanel for example.

Make sure also that there are no spaces after the last ?> of your files. Sometimes using the cPanel or Auto Transfer Mode on an application the files don't get uploaded correctly creating weird behaviors on your site.

Re: No Margin on left side

ultimate_zc, thanks for the reply. I was using Filezilla to upload the files, but I noticed it kept giving me timeout errors. I switched to FlashFXP based on some suggestions in this forum community and did not get the errors. So it looks like I may have to reupload the whole site using FlashFXP?
That completely explains the weird fonts and messed up alignments I started noticing.
I'll work on it and switch to Firefox. :bigups: Thanks again.
