Moved to a new server.. Need help with IMPORT DB
First of all i'm getting off of Godaddy and moving to a better server..
So i have backed up all my files.. plus DB.. now what is the best way to install my verstion to my new server??
- CLEAN INSTALL
- Upload files - i'm trying for this one..
- I have gone in and created a new mysql DB.. with the exact DB Name and user and pword..
So i go into my Plesk 7.5.4 control pannel and go to Databases - then go to phpmyadmin.. I think i found a problem..
As on godaddy i was using Myphp 5.0 and i think on my new server i'm running
MySQL 4.1.10a running on localhost as sal0824606335219@localhost
So when I tried to CLICK on the SQL button - here i can IMPORT my backed up DB from godaddy - So i click the import files and find the file leave everything as default - Compression: Autodetect Character set of the file: utf8
I hit GO: get this ERROR
SQL query:
Successfully backed up DATABASE : sal0824606335219

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Successfully backed up database: sal0824606335219' at line 1
