Column Layout Grid for Products - Product name wraps

I just installed the Column Layout Grid mod and it works great, but my product names wrap and I don't know where to change the setting to fix that.

There are also blank lines inbetween my Product name, price, shopping cart, etc.
I think this may be related to the first problem. (A column width issue maybe?).

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Column Layout Grid for Products - Product name wraps

Your names do not appear to be wrapping and are not long enough to require it.

I do see a possible issue - - What are you using to edit files?
This highlighted text is showing in 2 of your css files and if this is in any php file you are headed for issues

/**
 * Main CSS Stylesheet
 *
 * @package templateSystem

Re: Column Layout Grid for Products - Product name wraps

Oops, I changed the columns to 2 to stop the wrapping. They're back to 3 and wrapping now.

Help please!

Try dropping the special characters from your product name and see if this might be the issue

Actually that does not appear to be it - -
You must have something in one of your files that is making this area very narrow...

Try switching to the classic template to see if this issue is present and if not look to your override files

Re: Column Layout Grid for Products - Product name wraps

You are getting this:

<div class="centerBoxWrapperContents"> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="center" width="100%"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="center" width="32%" valign="top"> <div class="centerBoxContentsProducts centeredContent back" style="width: 32.5%;">

This makes the product want to fit in 32.5% of the <td> it sits in, which is already 32% of the center width; the image width pushes out of this because it can't be compressed or wrapped.
I wonder if the Column Divider mod has anything to do with this. I think it has to modify product_listing.php, or certainly one of the listing display files.
Maybe the Column Grid mod wiped out some essential part of the Column Divider code?

Yes, the Column Layout grid does modify product_listing.php as well as tpl_modules_product_listing.php.

Could you please tell me how to change the code the remove that extra 32%?

Thanks!

Re: Column Layout Grid for Products - Product name wraps

I know Column Grid uses both of those files; does Column Divider use them both also?
Column Divider is not especially useful without Column Grid, so maybe it already includes the Column Grid files? I really don't know how the combined code is set up, so can't advise without seeing it.

Re: Column Layout Grid for Products - Product name wraps

I found where it happens and will try and fix it but I'm curious as to why I'm the only one having this issue.

does Column Divider use them both also?
If the last is a true statement then you can not just install them both independantly - One must "merge" the alterations of both or as many modules that are altering the code.

merge = combining all changes into one file

You're not I just had it happen to me.

What I did was in the modules/template name/product_listing.php

down about line 481 where you see

$list_box_contents[$rows][$column] = array('params' => 'class="centerBoxContentsProducts centeredContent back"' . ' ' . 'style="width:' . $col_width . '%;"',

I went in and changed:

'style="width:' . $col_width . '%;"'

to

'style="width:' . 100 . '%;"'

so instead of getting the width from the table column it just gives it a width of 100%

Hope that works for you and what I said made since
