EZ-Pages - link to further down on the same page??

Hi there.

I have set up a site (plantperfection.com) but am having trouble with what should, I guess, be a fairly simple thing.

On some of my ez-pages (eg. Orders & Ordering page) I have a list of questions at the top of the page. Further down the page I have a list of answers. I want people to be able to click on the question and be linked down to where the appropriate answer is.

I have tried doing this with simply htnl as I would on a standard web site but it doesn't work.

I would relaly appreciate any help as I am trying to get this loose end tied off to finish the design part of the site.

you need to use ancors, easy if you have fckeditor installed.

Thank you Kitcorsa. I was initially tring anchors but when the link was clicked it simply took people to the home page. I downloaded and installed the fckeditor you recommended - and it looks like an excellent program - but am still having the same trouble. I create an anchor, set up the link to point to that anchor, but then when I go to the site and click on the link it simpply takes me back to the main page of the store (see for example the Orders & Ordering page of the site (https://www.plantperfection.co.uk)).

Maybe something to do with actual url where cart is installed..
i.e.
you mention .com url then .co.uk url, but your
site on certain pages is neither of those.

here is a how to using FCK

Insert your Text
in side this thext you shpould have you text for the links for the user to click on and the headings for where the anchors should go.

Add you anchor
add the anchor by clicking after you heading to link to and click the insert/mod ancor tool. give the anchor a name.

Link to ancor
highlight the text/image you wish to make a link and lick the insert link button. in the new popup in the link type dropdown select link to anchor, and then for the new drop down selevt the ancor name you wish to link to. Click save

Done

Oops - I see what you mean Misty! The .com was just my mind wandering!

It IS .co.uk, but for some reason once you click to go to any page other than the main page it gives the url as the temporary server address I was given when moving the site. Any idea how I can make it always show the plantperfection.co.uk url??

Update - sorry, I was just looking at this and it seems that only the 'Log in' page is connecting to the server address (https://stargate.terrassl.net/plantperfection.co.uk/index.php?main_page=login&zenid=1r4f6076ekg4qgohh99b6ktk02). I'm not sure why this should be...

Thank you KitCorsa for the instructions. I am pretty sure I am following them correctly but for some reason they still lead to the home page (ex. on orders and ordering page, clicking on the question 'do you deliver overseas?' is set to link to the anchor '#deliv_oseas', which is definately created and showing in fck as being in the right place on the orders and ordering page. However, when I click on that link on the site, it takes me to the main page with the anchor name after it - in this case http://www.plantperfection.co.uk/#deliv_oseas .

I'd be grateful for any more suggestions.

well (https://stargate.terrassl.net/plantp...qgohh99b6ktk02) is you ssl server and should be on the pages where personal details are entered.

you might want to check you config file is correct and you didn't make a mistake when you installed ie put .com instead of .co.uk

i dont know why its not working i have done it a feu time in the exact way above and it worked, other way to do this is to use the TOC and chapers build into the ez pages like i do here http://www.fire2you.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page&id=11&chapter=1&zenid=4fdc501e7c92381dee633812041a462b

Thank you so much for that - worked a treat! I actually used the long way around (as I couldn't quite grasp exactly what I needed to do for the second way) and all is now sorted!
