Download to Quickbooks?

Just a thought, but if you are using the company name for import into quickbooks you will need to change the way the csv file titles the company name.

on line 25 of quickbooks_download.php change

'customers_name' => 'Customer Job',

to

'customers_company' => 'Company Name',

Hope that helps.

Re: Download to Quickbooks?

Phil:

I think I know why there is only 4 records... I had to re-install zen cart and did a customer dump into zen cart.. And since then only 4 new orders.

I think it's best for me to export the customer from the database - this one time and any then afterward my client would be able to use your add-on.

Re: company name - got it.

Thanks again - really appricate your quick reply.

Re: Download to Quickbooks?

Hi,

I installed this mod today and I have removed the zen_ from the database entries in the quickbooks_download.php and the quickbooks_download_view.php

When I use the drop down menu I see all the orders but when I try to export them I get these errors

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/reliant1/public_html/adojd73/quickbooks_download.php on line 54

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/reliant1/public_html/adojd73/quickbooks_download.php:54) in /home/reliant1/public_html/adojd73/quickbooks_download.php on line 77

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Download to Quickbooks?

Hi

Not sure why it has started to malfunction, but I got the same Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/reliant1/public_html/adojd73/quickbooks_download.php on line 54 error.

In the same file as above, change line 16 from that really long number to say 200000.

If you have a problem with that then I will PM the file over to you.

Let me know if this worked for you?

Thanks

Phil

Tezla:

Yes, I see what you mean. That Customer Import inside QB (even with proper mappings) is pretty weak. The fix is to make sure there is a least a space in the export field so it will actually count as a valid field like this ," ",

My previous suggestion about Suburbs was premature. However, I was speaking of the IF THEN loop in the routine and ONLY when empty. Now that I've actually tested it it seems the right thing to do might be as stated above. Export Suburb if it is filled in ... Export "a space" if it is empty. I would think this should apply to all "optional" fields that might be empty.

When I use the QB-SDK (qbFC) to write VB programs to import customers I do something similar. I first use IF-THEN statements to check that the variable is not empty before trying to work with it.

Hi Guys... This is a great Module... Great Job.

I was wondering if anyone did come up with a fix here. Some customers used this section (suburb) to put their suite number (don't know why) so the duplicate cities is not going to work, as some have suite number and some are just duplicates. I was wondering if it's possible to just put a space if that field is empty, and if so how?

Also, How do we go about adding the fax number to this as well. This is not for QB, but rather to have a customer database.

One Last thing, anyone know why it's giving a bunch of duplicates?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Download to Quickbooks?

Hi

You could try un-installing it and redoing again, it sounds as if some of the files are not in the right directories for the dropdown to appear.

Assuming you did backup before you installed the mod, you should restore back and then retry the installation.

Good luck

Re: Download to Quickbooks?

I installed the qbi file and everything is working, with two odd exceptions.
My product, and shipping tabs are not showing all the options.

I am using one product with two attributes. Color: white, black. Size: S, M, L, X-L. I will be adding more but I want to make sure everything is working first.

On the Match tab then products tab, I do not see all the attributes for my product.

It shows only: small, medium, large, x-large, black, white.

Then on the Match tab then shipping tab it shows the usps options, but does not show the fedex options that I have installed in the cart as a mod.

I checked the create iif tab then went to the All previous Products download file button and I can see in that file that all the attributes are showing. Small:White, Small:Black, Medium:White, Medium:Black , Large:White, Large:Black, X-Large:White, X-Large:Black

Please help, PS I am NOT a programer, so I will most likely be lost if you tell me code to look at.

Re: Download to Quickbooks?

Installed this and works great. Question, does it include registrations, i.e., people that registered but didn't buy? If not, do you know how to export just registrations?
