Seriously, could you be a teenzy bit more informative? What version of Zen is not as important as which forum, PHP and MySQL versions, linux/windows, cpanel or some other control panel, fantastico......?

I have 1.3.8 a installed and we want to have the forum installed.

I clicked enable forum and see no place to log into the forum?

Why not installing the forums to the root of your site. Then it would be https://www.your-site.com/forum. That is how I had it done.
Which Forum software are you using?
Totally Zenned
Ok. I want to install the forum that came with my 138 version of Zen Cart. I have the latest Zen installed.
vBulletin has made many of my friends happy so that's the forum I want to use.
We use it here.
Simply enabling forum in the Configuration -> My Store, Enable Forum shows no link or anything on the site to direct traffic to the Forum. i tried clearing the cache and logging in as a new buyer to see what changed. Nadda.
So is Forum software included with Zen or not?

As far as I know the VBulletin software you have to purchase from that company and is not Free. This is the forum that Zen cart and all the sucessfull forums are using. It is a very clean forum I think it cost like $89-$129. Iam using the software that the hosting company provided for FREE PHPBB.

Oh I see. For some reason I though there was a Zen Forum ready for installing.
Yup, we are going with the freebie forum until we see that it is successful and will migrate to VBulletin then.
I am going to consult a couple people about both forums to see what the pros and cons are of each aside from money.

I did research on forums and everybody likes the V-Bulletin. If you are going to have valuable info in the forums and think you would have people visiting you should just purchase or lease the V-bulletin Its worth it, that is why it Powers every successful site out there.

Yes, that is the consensus of opinion.
