copying all files and products (moving)

I want to move my webstore to another host, can I just move the files through ftp?
do I need to copy the database that contains the installation too?

"changes of plans" I want to delete the database and reinstall zencart but I don't want to lose my products, templates, or logos. What files in the database do I need to store so I can upload them on the new installation.

I upgraded to 1.3.8 from 1.3.7 and ever since I did that my store has been extremely slow so i'm kinda trying to start over.

Same tutorial as there are not "files" in the DB and the product data is stored there
