Want to change banner size and background color

Ok I've tried reading the tutorial and still feel like I'm going in circles.

I am running a custom template.

I've tried changing this:

#logoWrapper {
width:800px;
height:300px;
background-image:url(includes/templates/CUSTOM/images/logo.jpg);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
}

in the location: index\includes\templates\custom\CSS\stylesheet.css

by changing I mean 699px to 800px and 289px to 300px

After these changes I still see no change on the site.

I am very new to this stuff so please take it easy on me.

Your custom template must not be selected in Admin - Tools - Template Selection, since if you check the source code of your page, you'll see: <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/templates/template_default/css/stylesheet.css" /

did you do the template_info.php part?

yes I did all that

$template_name = 'custom';
$template_version = 'Version 1.0';
$template_author = 'Jim Lawler';
$template_description = 'This is for www.rebelautoworxs.ca';
$template_screenshot = '';
?>

and in the Admin - Tools - Template Selection it does recognize it.

I'm not sure why it's still using the template_default??

I figured it out!!

it was a simple case of having the "css" folder capitalized to "CSS". Made the change and "boom" everything is different.
