the blank screen of doom... i realy need help.

I have been reading forums for a week now trying all the diffrent solutions out there. I am starting to want to give up... so heres is my story.

Checkout is configured for paypal use. when the user finished the paypal checkout process we go to the redirect back so site page. below is an example string from testing this issue. one of 2 things happens on redirect. i get a white screen of nothingness, or i get a error.

"2013 Lost connection to MySQL server during query
in:
[select count(*) as total from zen_sessions where sesskey = 'nf4lfqt7ig26j9tv82ljbiupc5']" <- this is not the same test.

oddly, if save the paypal string, close the browser, reopen the browser. and nav to the site with the same string i get the "session has expired" alert. if i log back in and then enter the string again it processes.

in eather case the email that is sent has no billing or shipping information but the system atleast keeps it.

i have run the curl test?paypal=1 and i get
ACK=Failure&L_ERRORCODE0=81002&L_SHORTMESSAGE0=Unspecified%20Method&L_LONGMESSAGE0=Method%20Specified%20is%20not%20Supported&L_SEVERITYCODE0=ErrorEOF

its hosted with godaddy
clean install
latest version.
any thoughts would be great.

Best to do a Forum search using 'godaddy' and you will see many people have problems with Checkout due to the way GoDaddy has things setup on their Servers.

My customer's paypal does not seem to be connecting back to the cart. I have also been searching for days for a solution. I've tried everything posted in these forums. Possibly I am missing something important.

I am not hosting on GODADDY, but I seem to have many of the same problems. In particular the blank page and timing out.

When I run the curltset.php, it comes back with:

You should double check your PayPal settings and make the return URL is what it should be.

Thanks for the welcome and for the quick reply. I have set the return url to be http://www.bmscommunications.ca/index.php?main_page=checkout_process.

Could it be something with my server?

Ok I am an idiot. I've now changed my return url to /STORE/index.php?main_page=checkout_process but it still doesn't work. sigh I thought I had it.

At risk of being accused of having a conversation with myself . . . the problem was with my host. They fixed it so paypal could communicate with my cart. Thanks for your help.

Any idea what your Hoster did? Answer might help others in the same boat.

Of course they didn't tell me what they did.

I sent them my cURL test results and my debugging error messages. As follows:

They spent 2.5 hours and voila! it worked again.

As an aside, I would not have had a clue about cURL tests or debugging . . . or even how to expalin my problem properly if it wasn't for this forum. My thanks to you all.
